David + I have been talking lately about getting a rug for our “front room” for Chanukah (yay! – I have been talking about it for over a year now). Last night when we were sitting in there watching tv I was looking around trying to envision the next chapter and layout of that room. So far that room has been our living room, our living room/my office, and now it’s part sitting room and part play room when I banish the kids from my office/real playroom. Did you follow all of that? Now I need that room to function as a living room/meeting spot for my clients. It can be done – but it is not exactly the largest room in the house . . . yet is does house the largest couch – a 1950′s Baker orange crushed velvet sectional from D’s grandfather. Hence my dilemma – while I have started phasing out some of our other hand me downs, this one is a Baker. It is really cool that it’s orange, but it desperately needs to see a plastic surgeon for a face lift. Which brings me to the next dilemma – do I keep it orange, or white slipcover. Finally, the third dilemma – I am not the biggest fan of sectionals……
Back to last night – while we were hanging out I was thinking, “yeah, maybe it’s time we retire the sectional and go for another regular couch and some cute seating. AND THEN – I saw these:
